Amateur Radio 60 m Band
|
The U.S. allows amateur radio operations on five channels in the 60 m band, for Extra, Advanced, and General class operators only. Power is limited to 100 W ERP (i.e., 100 W into a resonant dipole antenna).
A proposal for the 2015 World Radiocommunication Conference addreses the possibility of a 60 m amateur radio allocation beyond just the United States, in some portion of 5250-5450 kHz.
Voice operations in USB mode are permitted on the following five channels. Carrier or "dial" frequency is specified in the first column; the center of the 2.8 kHz wide voice emissions must be centered 1.5 kHz above these frequencies, at the frequency in the second column:
Carrier/dial frequency (kHz) | Center of emissions (kHz) |
5330.5 | 5332 |
5346.5 | 5348 |
5357 | 5358.5 |
5371.5 | 5373 |
5403.5 | 5405 |
Digital operations including CW, RTTY, PSK31, and PACTOR III are allowed, and their emissions must be centered on the frequencies in the second column above. Only one signal is allowed on each channel at a time.
