Aeronautical Terminal Radars
|
Terminal radars are installed at busy airports to monitor air traffic in the vicinity of the airport. Terminal radars have shorter range than long range surveillance radars, but rotate more quickly (4.8 seconds instead of 12).
In the United States, terminal radars are installed at approximately 300 airports.
