Shortwave Pirate Radio

This frequency band is commonly used by illegal "pirate" radio broadcasters. Such broadcasts are most often heard on weekend nights. Pirate broadcasts come and go fairly rapidly to avoid radio direction finding efforts by authorities. Most broadcasts are in AM mode.
